Program Description

Physiotherapy is a health care profession concerned with human function and movement, and maximizing potential. It uses physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore physical, psychological and social well-being, taking account of variations in health status. (CSP-2002)
Physiotherapy is a recognized autonomous health care profession that works in an open and equal professional partnership with medical practitioners in the care of clients (WCPT declaration 1995)
Eligibility for Admission: Candidates who have passed the SSC and HSC examinations in the Science group with Biology, either in the current year or within the past two years, securing a combined GPA of 7.00 and at least a GPA of 3.00 in both SSC and HSC, or those who have completed a recognized equivalent examination, either domestically or internationally, will be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course under Rajshahi Medical University.
Additionally, candidates who have completed a 4-year diploma in Physiotherapy will also be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course.

Program Description

B.Sc. in health Technology (Lab) is a four years course under the Rajshahi Medical University (RMU). After completing this course, a student has an opportunity to work as a medical technologist, Scientific officer even lab-in-charge in different private hospitals or instructor/Lecturer at IHT organization.
Facilities are:
  • Skilled Faculty members (Full time-80% & part-time-20
  • Year wise individual classroom
  • Multimedia projector-based classroom
  • Laboratory facilities: (Anatomy lab, Physiology & hematology lab, Microbiology lab, Biochemistry lab, Community Medicine lab, Histo & cytopathology lab, Computer lab)
  • 1 year In-Course-Training’ in the recognized Government & Privet Medical/Hospital or any other institute.
  • Modern rich library with online facilities
  • Separate Standard hostel facilities for girls and boy’s
  • Canteen
Eligibility for Admission:
Candidates who have passed the SSC and HSC examinations in the Science group with Biology, either in the current year or within the past two years, securing a combined GPA of 6.00 and at least a GPA of 2.50 in both SSC and HSC, or those who have completed a recognized equivalent examination, either domestically or internationally, will be eligible for admission to the B.Sc. in Laboratory Medicine Course under Rajshahi Medical University.
Additionally, candidates who have completed a 4-year diploma in Laboratory Medicine will also be eligible for admission to the B.Sc. in Laboratory Medicine course.
Job sectors:
You are a Medical Technologist/Scientific Officer, as well as a Lab-in-Charge at various government and private hospital diagnostic centers, and can work as an Instructor/Lecturer at an Institute of Health Technology.

Program Description

The BSc in Optometry (Technical Course in Ophthalmic Treatment) course is a full-time undergraduate program under Rajshahi Medical University. Optometry is a profession dealing with eye care. Optometrists are trained to examine the eyes and detect problems in eyesight and ocular abnormalities. Optometrists provide primary vision care. They do sight testing and give corrective prescriptions. They examine the eyes and make referrals if needed to Ophthalmologists.
