About the Programme

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy develops skilled professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat physical impairments and movement disorders. Students study anatomy, exercise therapy, manual therapy, and rehabilitation science, combining theory with practical application. The “+1” year internship provides hands-on experience in hospitals and rehabilitation centers. Graduates are prepared to work as licensed physiotherapists, contribute to patient recovery, and pursue postgraduate specialization in areas like neurology, orthopedics, or sports rehabilitation.

Course Curriculum

Part-I Bachelor of Physiotherapy (First Professional)
Part-II Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Second Professional)
Part-III Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Third Professional)
Part-IV Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Fourth Professional)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have passed the SSC and HSC examinations in the Science group with Biology, either in the current year or within the past two years.
  • Achieved a combined GPA of 7.00, with a minimum of GPA 3.00 in both SSC and HSC.
  • Alternatively, candidates who have completed a recognized equivalent examination, either nationally or internationally, are also eligible.

Program Description

The “+1” year internship provides hands-on experience in hospitals and rehabilitation centers. Graduates are prepared to work as licensed physiotherapists, contribute to patient recovery, and pursue postgraduate specialization in areas like neurology, orthopedics, or sports rehabilitation.

Candidates are eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program under Rajshahi Medical University if they meet the following criteria:
● Have passed the SSC and HSC examinations in the Science group with Biology, either in the current year or within the past two years.

● Achieved a combined GPA of 7.00, with a minimum of GPA 3.00 in both SSC and HSC.

● Alternatively, candidates who have completed a recognized equivalent examination, either nationally or internationally, are also eligible.

● Additionally, candidates who have completed a 4-year diploma in Physiotherapy are eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program.
