Program Description

Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) in Neurology is a specialized postgraduate program designed to develop advanced knowledge, clinical expertise, and research skills in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals with neurological disorders. The program focuses on disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and neuromuscular system, enabling physiotherapists to deliver evidence-based neurorehabilitation services and improve patients’ functional independence and quality of life.

The curriculum integrates advanced studies in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, motor control, neuroscience, neurological assessment, and rehabilitation techniques. Students gain hands-on clinical experience in managing conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, vestibular disorders, and other neurological impairments. The program emphasizes neuroplasticity, motor learning, balance and gait training, functional recovery, and patient-centered rehabilitation approaches.
