Dr. Mohammad Mizanur Rahman is an accomplished Eye Care Practitioner, academician, and researcher with over 20 years of international experience in optometry education, clinical practice, and vision science research. He currently serves as a Senior Lecturer/ Assistant Professor at Management & Science University (MSU), Malaysia, and holds a Post-Doctoral Fellowship and a PhD in Optometry, along with a Master’s degree in Optometry and Hospital Management.
Dr. Rahman has worked across Bangladesh, India, Oman, Cambodia, Malaysia, and the UAE, contributing extensively to academic leadership, curriculum development, and community eye health initiatives. He is the author of “A Handbook of Basic Optometry & Eye Disorder” and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in national and international journals. His research interests include myopia management, artificial intelligence in eye care, retinal and ocular surface diseases, tele-optometry, and community eye health.
A frequent speaker and journal reviewer, Dr. Rahman is actively involved with several international professional bodies and is dedicated to advancing optometric education, research excellence, and equitable eye care delivery.
